‘The Blue Bed’ to vie at Granada filmfest

The Int’l Festival of Granada-PREMIOS LORCA in Spain is to host Iran’s ‘The Blue Bed’.

The International Festival of Granada-PREMIOS LORCA (Festival Internacional de Cine de Granada) in Spain has scheduled to host Iranian short flick ‘The Blue Bed’.

Written, directed and produced by Alireza Kazemipour, the short film will be competing at the International contest section of the Spanish fest’s 26th edition.

The 14-minute film is the story of a girl who has taken an inappropriate path in her life and gets visitors at home.

But suddenly things start to change for her when a woman walks into her life.

‘The Blue Bed’ has been screened at a number of global events and won some awards, including the Best Directing award at the 10th Vancouver Short Film Festival in Canada.

The film has also received three nominations at the 2020 Leo Awards in Canada, including the Best Screenwriting Short Drama, Best Direction Short Drama, and Best Short Drama.

Honoring Spain’s well-known poet Federico García Lorca, the International Festival of Granada-PREMIOS LORCA will present to the winners the Lorca Awards, statuette figurine of the late artist.

The 26th edition of the event aiming to provide a space for discovery and opinion exchange will be held on October 21-24.
